VALUES:
An Exercise

Values are at the heart of who we are, what we care about most.

Values are at the heart of who we are, what we care about most, and the principles on which we base our judgements. Our true purpose is at the intersection of where our values meet our interests, challenges and talents.

What are my Values?

To join in on the exercise you need a pen and paper. Ask the questions using your normal writing hand, swap hands to answer. So, if you are right handed as I am, ask the question with the pen in your right hand, and then switch the pen to your left to answer. If you are left handed ask with your left, answer with your right. Try not to think about it too much and just see what comes out. A dialogue will unfold naturally as you can see here. All you need is the first question.

What do you care about most that you can not touch?

Love

Why?

It' s what' s the most true about the human spirit and function.

Why?

Because it' s at the root of all creation. It' s what we were born to do and connect with nature on.
"We become
what we create ourselves
to be"

Oh so you care about nature?

Yes of course I care about nature. It' s everything and the foundations of life and artful living.

Why is this important?

Because it' s about authenticity. And it' s honest.

Why is this important?

Because who are we without integrity and our hearts? Robots. Form without true function. We become a choreography of life.

Who is the performance for?

Dead people who haven' t even died yet. And the sad thing is we become them. We become what we create ourselves to be. That' s the irony of it all. We' re so afraid of being ourselves, our selves become what we are afraid of becoming: dead.

So you believe in living?

Yes I believe in living. I believe in honest hard work and in authenticity and being in touch with your creative being, and in doing so, being an extension of your creator, of nature.
