The Art of

         Finding

                    Your Voice

What is Acting with Grace?

Acting with Grace is a school and philosophy of living and creating, offering tailor- made intuitive one to one coaching and workshops in acting, singing and creating, employing vocal yoga, simplicity acting and somatic shadow work as well as performance art specific practices, techniques and disciplines for a holistic and playful approach to you finding your voice, in your work and in your life.

Hi! My name is Julianna Grace Pirillo and I created Acting with Grace to share everything I have learned over 25 years of study and exploration that has helped me find my voice after many years without it. I hope it helps you as much as it has me and that we can all create the safety and trust in ourselves to lead with our hearts.

Who am I?

I am a joyful, bold, honest, transformative, creative, highly expressive, intelligent and deeply feeling person. I want to genuinely serve humanity in a positive way and strengthen our ability for authentic vulnerable and intimate connection. I believe the only way to do this is with compassion, curiosity, self reflection, accountability and courage to speak the truth. I want to set a new normal where we are more attached to the truth than any thing, person or idea. Because the truth does set us free. And we become more connected to source when we make truth our ally and every fear becomes clear and not ours to keep.

My name is Julianna Grace Pirillo. I was born in Germany, in a Medieval town named Osnabrück. I've lived in Vienna, Austria, England and the US. I grew up in a very artistic household, infused with classical music, and the freedom to play and create worlds, dances, songs, and art work with my younger sister.

I have worked professionally as an actress and singer in film, tv, and theatre in Austria, England, Norway and the US. My background is in ballet and classical voice. I love singing Opera, as well as Jazz, Folk, Musical Theatre and am currently writing my debut album "The Doll" which explores the story of a girl bound by perfectionism and her journey to liberation. I am also a writer, and soon to be director of two short films.

I am a forever learner and have so far studied at a collective 42 schools with multiple teachers from academia to performing arts and pedagogy.

Most notable schools include Arts Ed Tring, RADA, The Royal College of Music, the Actors Centre, the Actor's Temple, Howard Fine, and Margie Haber studio. Most influential teachers, coaches and practices include yoga ballet fusion with Eunice laurel, Kundalini Yoga with Amir Jaan, Acting with Vicky Jones, Meisner with Gary Condes and Simon Furness, Simplicity Acting with Bathsheba Garnett, Acting with Larry Moss,  Singing with Janelle Destefano, Vocal Yoga with Heather Lyle, Transforming Shadows with Jamie Catto, Inner work with Candace Van Dell, and multi dimensional creative coaching with Tihane Mujic.

I am a NATS certified vocal yoga teacher specializing in voice embodiment. And a graduate of Jamie Catto's school for the insanely gifted in facilitating and leading creative personal development workshops with a focus on building safety, intimacy, play and somatic parts work. I am also currently doing Alyssa Nobriga's Coaching Mastery Program to get my ICM and ICF coaching certifications.

My teaching background ranges from teaching children age 6-8 and 12- 14 acting and creativity classes with an emphasis on mindfulness, to coaching and leading creative personal development workshops to vulnerable adults at Mayday Trust organization, to preparing young adults for drama school, coaching professional West End actor- singers, series regular actors, opera singers, beginner singers, and educators including doctors and psychologists 10 and 20 years my seniors.

I have first and second hand experience and recovery of substance abuse, post traumatic stress disorder, depression, OCD and bulimia with over 14 years recovery. I am also a third culture kid and have hyper- mobility syndrome, so I have great sensitivity and understanding of how these conditions and dispositions affect stability, identity, proprioception, connection, community, emotional processing, thought patterns and behaviors. On the flip side they are opportunities for growth and healing, and can lend themselves to self embodiment, personal freedom, conscious leadership, accountability, humility, compassion and grace.

It is my belief that we can all be the leaders of our lives when we learn to embrace and love who we truly are. And it is my mission in my work and in my art to reconnect people with their own humanity by connecting with mine as best as I can. I hope you will join me on this journey in finding your voice. Here is me finding mine.
